Claude Code also gains Agent Teams, where multiple agents collaborate on tasks, and compaction on the API, letting Claude summarise its own context to run longer without hitting limits. It hits state-of-the-art on SWE-Bench Pro (which spans four languages, not just Python) and Terminal-Bench 2.0, and does so using fewer tokens than any prior model. Early versions of GPT-5.3-Codex were used to debug its own training and manage its own deployment. The model helped build itself. OpenAI's framing is that Codex has gone from "writes and reviews code" to "does nearly anything a developer can do on a computer." Bold claim. Glass cloth (ultra-thin woven fibres that insulate circuit boards) is now at the centre of a supply scramble. Glass cloth is a key ingredient in BT substrates (bismaleimide triazine) — small mounting pads that connect chips to circuit boards. These substrates have excellent electrical conductivity, heat resistance, and stiffness. The chip sits on the BT substrate, which then attaches to the printed circuit boards. Apple, Nvidia, Google, and Amazon are all courting the same Japanese manufacturer (Nitto Boseki). The problem: production takes months, capacity is limited, and AI hardware demand keeps climbing.
