[Laravel] OK, so this is issue one. I'm not totally sure how newsletters start. Maybe they don't need introductions. The plan is pretty simple: share intriguing questions, experiments, news, and whatever else I've stumbled upon that week. [Would you share your health records with ChatGPT?](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/FLcYNAhC) [Would you share your health records with ChatGPT?](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/FLcYNAhC) OpenAI just added a dedicated health mode to ChatGPT. You can plug in your medical records or data from services like Apple Health or MyFitnessPal, and it’ll use that to make answers more relevant. They say the health data is encrypted, isolated, and won't train their models. Still, the obvious question: would you trust ChatGPT enough to try it? [The Underground Clocks of Paris](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/dZhN9wuq) [The Underground Clocks of Paris](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/dZhN9wuq) In the late 1800s, Paris kept time using underground pipes, powered by air pressure. Austrian engineer Victor Popp created a pneumatic network syncing clocks city-wide, accurate to the minute. Each clock was simple and mechanical, driven by pulses from a central "master clock". No electronics involved, just compressed air and clever engineering. Imagine a city running on time via plumbing. [Did Daft Punk set their BPM to 123.45 on purpose?](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/fsXmw8Fu) [Did Daft Punk set their BPM to 123.45 on purpose?](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/fsXmw8Fu) Everyone lists "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" at 123 BPM… but the actual tempo is suspiciously precise at 123.45 BPM. For context: most tracks pick round-number tempos (123, not 123-point-anything). This one doesn’t, and after John Scalo ran the numbers, it’s definitely deliberate. Given that Daft Punk's gear supported fractional BPMs (Logic went down to four decimal places), this feels like an intentional Easter egg hiding right under our noses. [Robots with tentacles](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/tM9Ldnum) [Robots with tentacles](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/tM9Ldnum) Octopus arms move effortlessly, gripping almost anything with minimal effort. Turns out nature might've nailed the design ages ago: a logarithmic spiral. SpiRobs copy this spiral to create robots that flex and grasp naturally using just a few cables. They're scalable from tiny grippers to drone-mounted tentacles over a metre long. Even better: a group of these robots can collaborate, twisting together to secure objects hundreds of times their own weight. [4 free months of Google AI Pro! For you! Maybe.](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/gtqAsLZJ) I’ve got a handful of invites for 4 free months of Google AI Pro to share if you're not already subscribed. Just a small thank you for jumping in early with the first issue. First come, first serve. Because nitrogen in food eventually becomes part of our own cells, about half of your proteins trace back to an industrial reaction. In other words, you're partly manufactured… which feels both amazing and slightly unsettling. [LONDON IN 0.03mm — JACK NOLAN DRAWS](https://newsletter.dvy.io/visit/SUcpdC9g) [As someone who's always been particularly bad at: sports and illustration, this kind of talent blows my mind. It took the artist, Jack Nolan, around 1000 hours (9 months!) to draw by hand with a 0.03mm pen. A personal love letter to London's complexities, landmarks, and hidden corners. So I built Balance. It doesn’t dismiss anxiety. It gently prods thinking when it stalls using three distinct perspectives. Completely free and anonymous.
